MENLO PARK, Calif., January 31, 2022 — Cyngn (NASDAQ: CYN) (the “Company”), a developer of innovative autonomous driving software solutions for industrial and commercial enterprises, today announced the appointment of Tony Rangel as Director of Business Development.
Tony has extensive global manufacturing operation and digitalization expertise with Small and Medium Enterprises, specializing in IoT, smart cities, and digital transformation. He has a proven track record at building high-performance teams and developing niche markets, along with designing software platforms and sophisticated hardware for IoT solutions. Tony has added substantial expertise in developing electronic engineering for mobile automotive products.

From 2014 to 2017, Tony held the position of Head of Strategic Partnerships/Alliances at Continental, a technology company providing intelligent solutions for vehicles, machines, traffic, and transportation. There, Tony developed innovative connected car and IoT offerings, led the logistics and planning process, provided guidance on manufacturing operations, and initiated growth strategies.
He served as COO of Manufacturing Operations and SME Customer Engagements at PreCog from 2008 to 2014, where he pioneered SME in industrial and automotive electronics design and manufacturing. Tony has additionally spent eight years as Vice President of Manufacturing Operations at CalAmp and more than 10 years as Regional Director at Airtouch.
